"The little old stand is apparently a listed building so doubt it can be redone. I read it's the Oldest stand in use"

I didn't mean they should knock down Craven Cottage itself. Just expect they will rebuild the two stands behind the goal to the same standard as their new riverside stand and they will end up with a tidy little stadium then. Full of genteel Fulham fans slapping their thighs while eating ham and cheese croissants, but tidy stadium nonetheless.

Everytime ive watched West ham at Fulham its been in the home end.
The quaint and wooden Johnny Haynes stand where most Fulham fans dont seem to return to after half time if they are losing and the Riverside.
We paid & £50 for a ticket in there over a decade ago when we turned them over 2.1 (Etherington & Cole i think)

"First time at craven cottage yesterday. The away end feels like it was made out of plastic."

It did indeed. Made our moveable seats look as permenent as the colleseum.

Although their new riverside stand looked quite solid. If they redo the other stands to the same standard they will have a half decent stadium there.

I did enjoy the "santa you're a cunt" chant.

2nd half was much better than. The first. But like always it was because we went behind and had to attack more.

Wills, something is afoot and it ain't 12 inches .....
Moyes has been continually and increasingly contradictory over the last 18 months or more

Take Paquetá, for a bloke whose due diligence is known for it's excessive scouting and reporting, how could he sign a Brazilian starter who has played across Europe and at a record fee, then declare he does not know where to position him?

Moyes is doubtless on his final lap and knows it, but given his strop after the Brighton game spunked his bonus he will not be resigning any time soon

"Something not right at the club. Seemingly Moyes bought in players that appear alien to his system. Was he the one signing the likes of Paqueta? Very un-moyes like signing."

From comment Moyes was making during pre season about signings he seemed to hint at his lack of control over the process. My theory is the club got frustrated with him over that January window where he did nothing and decided to take some some control off of him. I agree there is something not right at the club and Pearce was the canary in the coalmine.

Has a manager EVER been sacked after any friendly result, let alone a draw?

Re: Fulham
It would be prudent one would have thought to see what options were available during the lengthy World Cup break and what an unprecedented opportunity presented itself to do so.

It light of the above I can only assume the owners if not lined up a replacement subject to the next few games results, would have at least sounded out a few decent possible replacements.

Pochettino is an obvious one, who has recently said openly he wants the Chelsea job. One can assume by that statement he has set his sights higher than West Ham. He has been out of a job waiting for a top six job to become available, his hat is already in the ring. He is not going to ruin his reputation getting involved in a relegation battle, like wise Tuchel who has been linked with the England job if Southgate leaves.

Perhaps the reason they have said they will stand by Moyes is because no one else of any calibre is interested especially now we are at the arse end of the table.

If we were professionally run like Villa who got Emery who has won European cups and more with premier League experience with Arsenal we would have moved quicker and decisively. Unfortunately we may have left it too late as no one likes firefighting.

He should be gone now. Delaying another 3 games solves nothing.

While Moyes obviously has to go . It's a bit harsh using today's game as more evidence look at the players we had missing. Rice paqueta aguerd zouma kehrer Antonio areola were all not playing yet if the opposition were missing players of that ability you can bet you're life it would be pointed out .

Re: Fulham
"but why sack him now?"

because we still have twenty three games left, we're still involved in two cups, we're not yet (YET) in the bottom three, we continue to play shit football and more of the squad appear to dislike him, whatever they say in post match interviews or on certain fan channels. the fact that most youngsters can't wait to get away from him tells you all you need to know. a few of us wanted him gone many weeks ago and got shouted down with "wait until the world cup/he deserves until after the world cup". where has that got us? it's now clear that rice has had enough, and he hasn't got a fucking clue how to use the two expensive signings. but yes, why sack him now

"Moyes has got to go after the Arsenal game or we could well be playing Millwall next season"

We might not even get that consolation as Millwall have a good chance of making the play-offs.

Lacklustre performance today. I know it's just a friendly but something is wrong in the club. Pearce saw it coming.

Re: Fulham
"Moyes has got to go after the Arsenal game or we could well be playing Millwall next season"

The result at Arsenal seems inevitable, but why sack him now? Why not before the WC break thus allowing a new manager to get a foothold? Shirley, if we havent done so now we're not going to suddenly act in January when its already probably to late. We're stuck with Moyes rain or shine, its how this club rolls.

Re: Fulham
Moyes will likely be sacked having never tried dropping Soucek from the DM role and putting Paqueta and Downes in there with Rice and allowing another forward like Bowen to operate alongside or closer to Scamacca. It might not work or be worse and of course we need Aguerd to be a success, Zouma back asap.

Moyes will go out with the same disjointed mess of a team we have seen for the last few months and he in or around the bottom 3.

Todays game esp first half again showed us unable to get and keep the ball. Soucek and a Coufal are not good enough technically and mobility wise, Oggy and Dawson are 2 old codgers vulnerable to movement and pace but we have to probably play them against Arsenal .
Just for a change I’m very pessimistic about the next game and rest of the season.
